Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the committee resumed its study of potential trade impacts of the United States Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 on certain firms and workers in Canada.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:48 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of trade opportunities for Canadian businesses in the Indo-Pacific, the proposed budget in the amount of $190,163.04 for the Committee’s travel to Singapore and New Delhi in winter 2023 be adopted; and that the committee clerk be authorized to purchase appropriate gifts and make the necessary arrangements for meals and a reception during the Committee's travel.

At 12:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
