Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the committee resumed its study of issues relating to the horticultural sector.

At 11:47 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

Marie-Ève Gaboury-Bonhomme, Tia Loftsgard, Gillian Flies, Peter Burgess, Peggy Brekveld, Keith Currie and Sukhpaul Bal made statements.

At 12:17 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), the sitting was suspended.

At 12:20 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Mike Medeiros, Ryan Koeslag made statements and, with Marie-Ève Gaboury-Bonhomme, Tia Loftsgard, Gillian Flies, Peter Burgess, Peggy Brekveld, Keith Currie and Sukhpaul Bal, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That Ms. Gaboury-Bonhomme’s written reponses be appended to today’s meeting evidence.

It was agreed, — That the committee continue to sit to receive evidence with reduced quorum after 1:00 p.m.

It was agreed, — That notwithstanding routine motion on meeting without a quorum, the committee continue to sit to receive evidence regardless of the number of members remaining.

At 1:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
