On Monday, May 9, 2022, the committee adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a comparative study of federal assistance for various natural resources industries, including but not limited to oil and gas, and forestry; that the committee invite experts and government officials to provide a follow-up on this assistance for each industry, including a follow-up on the Trans Mountain Pipeline System, and that the committee hold three meetings for that purpose; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.

On Thursday, November 17, 2022, the committee adopted the following motion:

That the deadline for the submission of briefs in relation to the study of federal assistance for various natural resources industries be the Friday following the last meeting held with witnesses.
