Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the committee resumed its study of the nexus between National Defence, National Security and Canada’s critical minerals sector.

Wendy Hadwen and Isabella Chan made statements and answered questions.

At 12:00 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:05 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Cristina Pekarik made a statement and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Parliamentary Internship Programs interns be allowed to attend the in camera portion of the meeting on Monday, March 23, 2026.

At 12:48 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:54 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the deadline for the submission of briefs in relation to the study of the nexus between National Defence, National Security and Canada's critical minerals sector be Monday, March 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

It was agreed, — That, with regard to the study of the nexus between National Defence, National Security and Canada’s critical minerals sector, the deadline for the members of the committee to submit their recommendations to the clerk for the report be 10 calendar days after the distribution of the last brief.

It was agreed, — That, with regard to the study of the Defense Industrial Strategy, the witness lists must be provided to the clerk before Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

At 1:09 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
