MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 1
Tuesday, November 17, 1998
The Sub-Committee on Financial Reporting of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, John Williams, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Serge Cardin, Mac Harb, Lynn Myers and John Williams.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean Dupuis and Brian O'Neal, Research Officers.
Pursuant to the order of the Standing Committee adopted on Tuesday, October 6, 1998, the Sub-Committee proceeded to discuss the advisability of establishing a Sub-committee on the need to create international standards for public-sector financial reporting.
It was agreed, - That the Sub-Committee meet on Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at 3:30 p.m. to consider the motion to be presented to the Standing Committee respecting the establishment of a Sub-Committee on International Financial Reporting Guidelines and Standards for the Public Sector.
At 4:14 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
