MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 17
Thursday, March 27, 2003
The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Cheryl Gallant, Ivan Grose, Dominic LeBlanc, Joe McGuire, Lawrence O'Brien, David Pratt, David Price, Elsie Wayne.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Department of National Defence: Dr. John Leggat, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Technology; Dr. Robert Walker, Director General, Research and Development Programs; Dr. Ingar Moen, Director, Science and Technology (Policy).
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canada-United States Defence Cooperation and on other related issues.
Dr. Leggat made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
