Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing with the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development regarding ministerial work completed in the summer of 2022.

The minister made a statement and, with Aaron Fowler, answered questions.

At 1:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:00 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $17,700.00, for the study of potential trade impacts of the United States Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 on certain firms and workers in Canada, be adopted.

At 2:44 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
