The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of freshwater, the proposed budget in the amount of $234,236.28, for the committee’s travel to Montréal, Québec, Hamilton, Ontario, Burlington, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Vancouver, British Columbia, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Fort Chipewyan, Alberta, in Fall 2023, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee proceed to sit in public.

At 4:56 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Motion

Monique Pauzé moved, — That the Clerk of the Committee publish on the House of Commons website, under the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, all correspondence, briefing notes and briefs received by the Committee from invited witnesses in the study of toxic leak of tailings ponds and that these documents be made available as soon as their translation is completed.

By unanimous consent, after debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

At 5:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
