Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 21, 2023, the committee resumed its study of women's economic empowerment.

Emily Whetung-MacInnes, Rosemary Cooper, Kathy Slotsve and Meltem Kilicaslan made statements and answered questions.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Paula Huntley and Wendy Cukier made statements and answered questions.

At 5:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:22 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for the draft report of the study on Women’s Economic Empowerment.

It was agreed, — That the committee proceed to give drafting instructions to the clerk and analysts for the report on Women’s Economic Empowerment by Monday, March 4, at 4 p.m .

It was agreed, — That the committee meet, in an informal meeting, with a delegation of Finnish parliamentarians on April 8, 2024.

At 5:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
