Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, April 24, 2023, the committee commenced its study of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation.

Bob Hamilton made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:37 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:42 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $750, for the study of Main Estimates 2023-24: Vote 1 under Office of the Auditor General, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $42,384, for travel to and attending the joint annual conference 2023 of the Canadian Council of Public Accounts Committee and Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors, be adopted and that the Chair present it to the Subcommittee on Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

It was agreed, — That only the permanent members, clerk and analysts, who participated in the meetings of May 1 and May 4, 2023, may consult the blues transcripts in person, in the clerk’s office, with no electronic devices, no staff, and any notes taken in review of the blues transcripts be destroyed immediately by the clerk.

At 6:10 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
