Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, February 8, 2023, the committee commenced consideration of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for British Columbia 2022.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the reports of the federal electoral boundaries commissions for Ontario 2022, Alberta 2022, British Columbia 2022 and Quebec 2022, and pursuant to subsection 22(1) of the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act, the committee report to the House to request extensions to the 30-day period for consideration of the reports and that the committee request the deadlines be extended to Friday, June 9, 2023.

Don Davies, Wilson Miao, Hon. Hedy Fry, Taleeb Noormohamed, and Hon. Joyce Murray made statements and answered questions.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.
