Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Friday, September 23, 2022, the subcommittee commenced its study of the rights and freedoms of women globally and on women in Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Jacqueline O'Neill, Farida Deif and Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini made statements and answered questions.

At 9:47 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:55 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Julia Tétrault-Provencher, Meghan Doherty et Sayeh Hassan made statements and answered questions.

At 10:33 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:40 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the violations of human rights driving migration in Central and South America, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 106,732.00, for the subcommittee’s travel to United States of America and Colombia in winter 2023, be adopted.

At 10:52 a.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
