With regard to procurements subject to the Policy on Prioritizing Canadian Materials in Federal Procurements, as part of the government's Buy Canadian Procurement Policy Framework, since December 16, 2025: (a) how many contracts, and what total value, have contained requirements respecting the use of Canadian (i) steel, (ii) aluminum, (iii) wood products; (b) what are the details of each contract in (a), including the (i) vendor, (ii) contract value, (iii) contract number, (iv) department or agency, (v) description of the goods provided, (vi) Canadian material requirements, (vii) manner in which the contract was awarded (sole-sourced or competitive bid); (c) how many, and which, suppliers' compliance with Canadian material requirements has been verified following contract award; (d) what methods are used to verify the country of origin of materials supplied under the contracts; (e) how many verifications identified non-compliance and what action was taken in each case; (f) how many contracts have received an exception from a Canadian material requirement; (g) what is the total value of the contracts that received an exemption in (f); and (h) what is the breakdown of (f) and (g) by reason? |
