MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 2
Tuesday, November 2, 1999
The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:00 p.m. this day, in Ballroom 1 & 2, London Convention Centre, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Maurizio Bevilacqua, Scott Brison, Roy Cullen, Roger Gallaway, Albina Guarnieri, Sophia Leung, The Hon. Lorne Nystrom, Monte Solberg and Paul Szabo.
Acting Members present: Gary Lunn for Dick Harris, Preston Manning for Ken Epp.
Other Member present: Joe Fontana.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Marion Wrobel, Senior Analyst.
Appearing: From the Department of Finance: The Hon. Paul Martin, Minister of Finance.
In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee commenced its Pre-Budget Consultations.
The Minister made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
