The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources met at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Raymond Bonin, presiding.

Member(s) of the Committee present: Larry Bagnell, Raymond Bonin, Serge Cardin, David Chatters, John Finlay, John Godfrey, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Benoît Serré.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Mary Hurley and Carol Hilling, Research Officers.

Witness(es): From the Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development of the Government of the Northwest Territories: The Hon. Jim Antoine, Minister; Cal Brackman, Resource Economist. From Canam Group: Brian Kennedy, Government Relations Consultant.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to a hearing respecting the Mackenzie Delta Gas and Pipeline.

The Honourable Jim Antoine made an opening statement and, with the witnesses, answered questions.

At 12:22 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
