MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Tuesday, February 20, 2001
The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Rick Borotsik, Marlene Catterall, Michel Guimond, Joe Jordan, Derek Lee, Paul Macklin, Grant McNally, John Reynolds, John Richardson, Jacques Saada, Chuck Strahl and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: Gérard Binet for Carolyn Parrish; Joe Fontana for Geoff Regan; Antoine Dubé for Stéphane Bergeron; Bill Blaikie for Yvon Godin.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Audrey O'Brien, Deputy Clerk; Marie-Andrée Lajoie, Principal Clerk, House Proceedings and Parliamentary Exchanges.
In accordance with the Committee's mandate under Standing Orders 108(3)(a)(iii), consideration of electronic voting.
Audrey O'Brien made a statement and, with Marie-André Lajoie, answered questions.
At 12:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
