MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 15
Wednesday, November 21, 2001
The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Rick Casson, Mac Harb, Pierre Paquette, and Tony Valeri.
Acting Members present: Gary Pilliteri for Bob Speller, John Richardson for Pat O’Brien.
Other Members present: John Duncan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg and Michael Holden, Research Officers.
The Sub-Committee considered a draft report on U.S. - Canada Border delays and the commercial implications for trade.
It was agreed, - That the
draft report be adopted, as amended, as the Fifth Report of the Sub-Committee.
It was agreed, - That the
title of the report be:
“Towards a Secure and
Trade Efficient Border”
It was
agreed, - That the chair, researchers and clerks be authorized to make such
typographical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the
substance of the report.
It was
agreed, - That the chair be instructed to present the Fifth Report of the
Sub-Committee to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International
Trade.
At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the
call of the Chair.
