The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Emmanuel Dubourg regarding a witness who submitted an expense claim to the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the request for reimbursement presented by Ali Ehsassi regarding a witness who submitted an expense claim to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

It was agreed, — That the two requests for reimbursement presented by Sean Casey regarding witnesses who submitted their expense claims to the Standing Committee on Health after the 60-day deadline be concurred in.

Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans be granted a study budget of $96,150.00 for its study of the statutory review of the Fisheries Act 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology be granted a supplementary study budget of $7,000.00 for its study of Bill C-27, An Act to Enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology be granted a study budget of $22,000.00 for its study of credit card practices and regulations in Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Official Languages be granted a study budget of $74,400.00 for its study of education continuum in the minority language.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates be granted a supplementary study budget of $2,000.00 for its study of federal government consulting contracts awarded to McKinsey & Company.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates be granted a supplementary study budget of $1,000.00 for its study of postal service in Canada’s rural and remote communities.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Public Accounts be granted a supplementary budget of $1,500.00 for its study of Report 1, ArriveCAN, of the 2024 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Natural Resources be granted a supplementary study budget of $3,500.00 for its study of Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Natural Resources be granted a supplementary study budget of $2,000.00 for its study of Canada’s electricity grid and network.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a study budget of $11,250.00 for its study of the changes to capital gains and corresponding measures announced in Budget 2024.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a study budget of $38,500.00 for its study of pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2025 Budget.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security be granted a supplementary study budget of $1,500.00 for its study of the growing problem of car thefts in Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security be granted a study budget of $20,250.00 for its study of Russian interference and disinformation campaigns in Canada.

At 1:34 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
