Thursday, June 8, 2000
The Standing Committee on Industry met in camera at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard, Nelson Riis and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw and Geoffrey Kieley, Research Officers.
Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a Review of the Competition Act.
The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.
At 12:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
