Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on October 6, 2022, the committee commenced its study of Cybersecurity and Cyberwarfare.

Sami Khoury and Alia Tayyeb made statements and answered questions.

Cheryl Gallant gave notice of the following motion:

That the Standing Committee on National Defence invite the Minister of National Defence and the Deputy Commander of NORAD to provide a briefing of no fewer than two hours concerning the foreign airship from the People's Republic of China that recently violated Canadian air space, and that the briefing be held in public within the next four days.

At 4:41 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:44 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Aaron Shull and Wesley Wark made statements and answered questions.

At 5:43 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
