MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 6
Tuesday, April 27, 1999
The Sub-Committee on Children & Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, John Godfrey, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Libby Davies, Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey, Ovid Jackson, Karen Kraft Sloan, Eric Lowther and Maria Minna.
Acting Members present: Carolyn Bennett for Rey Pagtakhan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sandra Harder and Bill Young, Researchers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Policy Research Networks: Judith Maxwell, President; Elisabeth Richard, Director of Corporate and Public Affairs.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2) the Sub-Committee resumed its study relating to issues regarding the future of children and youth in Canada.
Judith Maxwell made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 4:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
