MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 4
Tuesday, November 26, 2002
The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in camera at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.
Members of the Committee presents: Larry Bagnell, Paul Crête, Nick Discepola, Brian Fitzpatrick, Cheryl Gallant, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Walt Lastewka, Serge Marcil and Dan McTeague.
Acting Members presents: Massimo Pacetti for Brent St. Denis, Marlene Jennings for Paddy Torsney and Mark Eyking for Andy Savoy.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Lalita Acharya, Geoffrey P. Kieley and Dan Shaw, Research Officers.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of a workplan.
It was agreed, -- That the Committee undertake a study on the economic impact on the “Foreign Investment Restrictions in the Telecommunications Industry”.
It was agreed, -- That the Committee undertake a study of Bill C-249, An Act to amend the Competition Act.
It was agreed, -- That the Committee undertake a study on Productivity.
At 4:45 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
