Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 18, 2025, the committee proceeded to a briefing with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and the Canada Water Agency.

Patricia Brady and Gemma Boag made statements and, with Ian Ketcheson, Eric Landry, Véronique Hiriart-Baer and Justyna Frobisher, answered questions.

At 12:24 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:44 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and senior officials from the Parks Canada Agency to appear before the committee for two hours not later than Monday, December 8, 2025; and, that a briefing note be requested of the Parks Canada Agency discussing the agency’s mandate and transition to the Canadian Heritage portfolio, as well as the agency’s continuing responsibilities regarding environment and climate change, to be received not later than Friday, October 31, 2025.

At 12:56 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:00 p.m., the meeting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the committee proceed to committee business for the first hour of the meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2025, provided that Patrick Bonin be the first speaker.

At 1:24 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
