Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee proceeded to a briefing with the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation.

Lesley Burns and John Reed made statements and answered questions.

At 12:09 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:15 p.m., the meeting resumed.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the access to information request received by the Department of National Defence and communicated to the committee on Monday, August 25, 2025, concerning documents that are related to the Committee’s proceedings and that are not sensitive in nature, the committee instruct the clerk to authorize disclosure of said documents, with the understanding that they remain protected by parliamentary privilege.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee commenced consideration of the Report 7, Modernizing Information Technology Systems of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the committee adopt the report entitled Modernizing Information Technology Systems adopted during the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament; that dissenting opinions that accompanied the report in the previous session of Parliament be appended to the main report.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and Analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 12:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
