The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Frank Caputo, it was agreed, — That the committee resume consideration of the motion moved on Thursday, September 18, 2025, which read as follows:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee invite the Minister of Public Safety to appear before the committee for a minimum of two hours, before Friday, October 10, 2025, to answer questions regarding his mandate and priorities.

Debate arose thereon.

At 12:23 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:24 p.m., the meeting resumed.

The question: "That pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee invite the Minister of Public Safety to appear before the committee for a minimum of two hours, before Friday, October 10, 2025, to answer questions regarding his mandate and priorities." was put and was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 9; NAYS: 0.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee commenced its study of Growing problem of car thefts in Canada.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

On motion of Sima Acan, it was agreed, — That the committee do now adjourn.

At 1:13 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
