MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 9
Monday, May 31, 1999
The Sub-Committee on Children & Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, John Godfrey, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Libby Davies, Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey, Ovid Jackson, Rey Pagtakhan and Diane St-Jacques.
Acting Members present: Diane Ablonczy for Eric Lowther.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sandra Harder, Researcher; Bill Young.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) the Sub-Committee resumed its study relating to issues regarding the future of children and youth in Canada.
The Sub-Committee considered a draft report.
It was agreed, - That the draft report as considered and amended, be adopted as the First Report of the Sub-Committee subject to the Chair obtaining the final approval of the Members and that once approval is obtained the Chair present the First Report to the Standing Committee.
At 5:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
