Meeting No. 5

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1997

The Sub-Committee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:54 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 362-E, East Block, Colleen Beaumier, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Jean Augustine, Colleen Beaumier, Paul Bonwick, Claudette Bradshaw, Maud Debien, Svend Robinson.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Patricia Bégin, Research Officer.

Witnesses: As individuals: Heather Ritchie; Nancy White; Angelina Medjed-Cosovic; and Ron Reddy.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee continued to examine the issue of International Child Abductions.

The witnesses each made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:37 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
