MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 1
Thursday, December 2, 1999
The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 4:05 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Clerk presiding over the election of a Chair.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Joe Jordan, Nancy Karetak-Lindell.
Acting Member present: Judy Sgro for Karen Redman.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young, Researcher.
The Clerk presided over the election of a Chair.
On motion of Nancy Karetak-Lindell, it was agreed, - That Carolyn Bennett do take the Chair of this Sub-Committee.
Carolyn Bennett took the Chair.
On motion of Joe Jordan, it was agreed that the Sub-Committee retain the services of one or more Research Officers from the Library of Parliament, as needed, to assist the Sub-Committee in its work, at the discretion of the Chair.
At 4:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
