That Dr. John Tibbits, President of Conestoga College, be summoned to appear before the committee, by himself, for no less than one hour, to give testimony further to the committee’s study on International Student Program and Study Permits, at a date and time to be fixed by the Chair of the committee, but no less than three weeks following the adoption of this motion.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $96,250, for the study of Canada’s Immigration System, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, the committee begin the study of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act (2025), if possible on Thursday, October 2, 2025; the committee schedule two meetings for this study; the clerk invite the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship with officials to appear for one hour on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and witnesses be invited for the second hour; the study of the clause-by-clause of the Bill be on Tuesday, October 7, 2025; that members of the committee submit their list of potential witnesses, in order of priority, to the clerk of the committee by Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
