The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That in relation to the committee’s study of Report 8, The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada in the current session:
- That the draft report prepared for the committee in relation to its study of Report 8, The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada in the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament, be considered by the committee;
- That the draft report, as amended, be adopted;
- That the report be entitled: "The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme";
- That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report;
- That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report;
- That the analyst and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House; and
- That, the Chair present the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000 for the briefing with the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, be adopted.
At 5:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
