Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee proceeded to a briefing with the Office of the Auditor General.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the committee resumed consideration of the Report 8, The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the committee on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the committee’s study of Report 8, The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada in the current session:

  1. That the draft report prepared for the committee in relation to its study of Report 8, The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme of the 2023 Reports 5 to 9 of the Auditor General of Canada in the 1st Session of the 44th Parliament, be considered by the committee;
  2. That the draft report, as amended, be adopted;
  3. That the report be entitled: "The Benefits Delivery Modernization Programme";
  4. That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report;
  5. That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report;
  6. That the analyst and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House; and
  7. That, the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000 for the briefing with the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, be adopted.

At 5:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
