The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:02 o’clock a.m., this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Maurizio Bevilacqua, Scott Brison, Gary Pillitteri, Nelson Riis, Paul Szabo, Paddy Torsney and Tony Valeri.
Acting Members present: Gary Brietkreuz for Monte Solberg to 10:58 a.m.; Christiane Gagnon for Yvan Loubier; Paul Crête for Gilles Perron.

In accordance with the Order of Reference of the House of Commons of Tuesday, March 31, 1998, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-36, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 24, 1998. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Thursday, April 2, 1998, Meeting No. 67).
