MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 3

Wednesday, March 1st, 2000

The Sub-Committee on International Financial Reporting Guidelines and Standards for the Public Sector of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts met at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Mac Harb, Beth Phinney, John Richardson, Benoît Sauvageau and John Williams.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean Dupuis and Brian O'Neal, Research Officers.

Pursuant to its mandate dated Tuesday, December 7, 1999, the Sub-Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters relating to the business of the Sub-Committee.

On motion of Beth Phinney, it was agreed, - That the evidence heard by members of the Sub-Committee on February 23, 2000, from Jean-Pierre Boisclair, President of the Canadian Comprehensive Auditing Foundation, and Tim Plumptre, Director of the Institute on Governance, be deemed to have been received by the Sub-Committee and that it be published as meeting no. 2.

The Sub-Committee proceeded to discuss the proposed travel to Washington D.C. in May of 2000.

At 4:26 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
