Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee commenced its study of the state of airline competition in Canada.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 4:59 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:04 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 5:13 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:17 p.m., the meeting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "State of Airline Competition in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than Friday, October 3, 2025.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities request that Air Canada provide the committee with the number of hours that Mr. Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada, has devoted to learning French since 2021; that the response be broken down by week, month and year; and that the response be provided to the committee within 30 days following the adoption of this motion.

At 5:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
