The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 3:45 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Claude Bachand, Leon Benoit, Stan Dromisky (4:35 p.m.), Cheryl Gallant, John O'Reilly, Janko Perić, David Pratt, David Price, Bob Wood.
Acting Members present: Bernard Patry for Stan Dromisky; Julian Reed for Colleen Beaumier; Shawn Murphy for Carmen Provenzano; John Richardson for Bryon Wilfert.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Assistants.
Witness: From the Dalhousie University: Professor Denis Stairs, Department of Political Science.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
At 4:30 p.m., David Price took the Chair.
At 5:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
