Wednesday, March 22, 2000
The Sub-Committee on Children and Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 4:15 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, John Godfrey, presiding.
Member(s) of the Sub-Committee present: Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey and Diane St-Jacques.
Acting Member(s) present: Paul Forseth for Eric Lowther and Stéphan Tremblay for Christiane Gagnon.
In attendance from the Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Research Officer.
Witness(es): From the Carleton University: Frances Woolley, Associate Professor, Department of Economics.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (See minutes of Proceedings of February 29, 2000 - Meeting No.15), the Sub-Committee resumed its study on the future of children and youth in Canada.
Frances Woolley made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
