The Standing Committee on Health met at 11:30 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Ovid Jackson, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Elinor Caplan, Maria Minna.
Acting Members present: John Cummings for Maurice Vellacott, Bev Desjarlais for Judy Wasylycia-Leis, Keith Martin for Reed Elley.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller Chenier; Sonya Norris, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From Health Canada: Marie Fortier, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy and Consultation Branch and Assistant Deputy Minister, Home Care Development; Abby Hoffman, Director general, Health Policy and Information Directorate; Phyllis Colvin, Director, Health Policy Division, Policy and Consultation Branch; Frank Fedyk, Director, Health System and Policy Division, Policy and Consultation Branch; Richard Jock, Director General, Program Policy and Planning Division, Medical Services Branch; Robert S.
