The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 9:08 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Gilles Bernier, Gerry Byrne, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Ovid L. Jackson, Jerry Pickard, and Brent St. Denis.

Associate Member present: Angela Vautour.

Substitute Members present: Ken Epp for David Chatters, Deborah Grey for Jim Gouk, Randy White for Darrel Stinson.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Research Officer.

Witness: As an individual: The Hon. John M. Reid.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), an examination of the role of the Information Commissioner as it relates to the operations of Government.

The witness made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:45 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
