MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
(Meeting No. 10)

TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 1998

The Sub-Committee on the Study of Sport in Canada of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 3:40 o’clock p.m., this day, in a televised session, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Dennis Mills, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Dennis Mills, George Proud and Nelson Riis.

Acting Members present: Louis Plamondon for Suzanne Tremblay; David Iftody for Albina Guarnieri.

Other Members present: Carmen Provenzano

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Claude Blanchette, Research Officer.

Witness: From the Canadian Football League (CFL): John Tory, Commissioner.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed the consideration of the Study of Sport in Canada.

John Tory opening an opening statement and answered questions.

 

At 5:00 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
